Petrolio UK are currently recruiting for a PDMS Electrical Engineer for one of our major UK clients who are a leading provider of flow equipment products, systems and services to worldwide oil, gas and process industries.
Location: Sunbury, Surrey, UK
General Responsibilities:
Electrical/Instrument background with experience of using PDMS to site all electrical and instrumentation within a compact skid structure working in a small team liaising with instrumentation/electrical engineers, PDMS pipe designers and steelwork designers for best integrated layout.
PDMS Requirements:-
PDMS 11.6 experience
PDMS 12 experience
PDMS E&I module – (Note this module is not used with my client at the moment but may be integrated into the design for future projects)
PDMS Draft
Experience/Requirements:
The successful candidate will have experience in the following:-
•Interpreting specifications for E&I installation requirements
•Instrument location
•Cable tray segregation for intrinsically safe and non intrinsically safe cables, ESD cables, power cables and lighting cables
•Sighting instruments / instrument posts
•Showing bracketry for connection of tray to skid structure
•Positioning lights within the model based on a lighting study by others
•Showing bracketry for connection of lighting to skid structure
•Positioning of Junction Boxes
•Construction of Junction Box Support structure
•Instrument tubing routing
•Printing of the following 2D drawings
•Instrument Locations
•Junction Box Stand structure
•Cable tray Routes
•Material Takeoff list
•Understanding of instrument sighting requirements such as :
•Upstream/downstream requirements for flowmeter location
•Flow direction for flow meter types such as vertically upwards for VA meters
•Space required around instruments for removal and maintenance (E.g temperature transmitter withdrawal)
PDMS Requirements:-
•PDMS 11.6 experience
•PDMS 12 experience
•PDMS E&I module – (Note this module is not used within my client at the moment but may be integrated into the design for future projects)
•PDMS Draft
